Growing up in the home of a pastor, Bishop Bryan Adkins is no stranger to service through ministry. His parents took up the mantle of pastoring in 1976 in Elm Grove, Ohio where Sr. Pastor Bryan Adkins sharpened his own ministry through music and preaching. Over the years, he has brought the Word from North Carolina to California, as far north as Canada, and as far south as Fort Lauderdale Florida.

In 1981, Sr. Pastor Bryan Adkins and his wife, Lynne, began pastoring at Abundant Life Tabernacle after the untimely death of his father-in-law and the previous pastor, Bill Bowman. His ministry within this congregation has continued to this day, over 40 years later, serving in the role of Bishop at High Point Family Worship Center, alongside his son, Barton Joel Adkins, who is now pastor.

Throughout his years of service to the church, Bishop Adkins also earned his Barber’s License and, in 1997, became the owner of High Point Barbershop. Bishop Adkins enjoys many hobbies in his free time including boating, fishing, motorcycling, hunting, white water rafting, and learning to play new musical instruments. He received his pilot’s license in 1993 and still enjoys flying to this day. Above all, however, Bishop Adkins most enjoys giving his talents to the church from playing the organ to the trumpet to the harmonica. He loves serving  the church and community alongside people of God.
